Richard L. Herrington
Colonel, U.S. Marine Corps (Retired)
Richard Herrington is a retired U.S. Marine Corps Colonel with over three decades of leadership experience spanning aviation, operations, and executive-level strategy. After a distinguished military career that included combat service, squadron and group command, and senior staff roles shaping national aviation requirements, Richard developed a deep expertise in leading complex organizations through high-stakes environments. His service was recognized with the Silver Star, two Legions of Merit, and 47 Air Medals. He retired in 1996 with a service-connected disability and brings a firsthand understanding of the long-term needs of veterans and the people who serve them.
Today Richard channels that leadership experience into the technology sector as Founder and Senior Advisor of Kartlos Tech LLC. Drawing on a career built around operational discipline, risk management, and organizational structure, he applies those principles across IT project management, systems assessments, legacy modernization, and IT governance and policy development, helping organizations bring the same rigor to their technology that high-performing teams bring to mission-critical operations.
